Before you start
- Confirm the target IP address and TCP port.
- Confirm the Windows application expects a local COM port.
- Run ComLinker with administrator permission if virtual port creation is needed.
Steps
- Open ComLinker.
- Go to TCP Serial Bindings and select the TCP Client tab.
- Click Add.
- Choose Raw TCP or RFC2217.
- Select an existing virtual COM port or choose Auto create virtual port.
- Enter the target IP address and TCP port.
- Save the rule and click Start.
- Open the selected COM port in your Windows serial application.
Expected status
Connected means the TCP endpoint is reachable and the bridge is running. Target Offline or Reconnecting usually points to network reachability, firewall, or remote device availability.
